You’ve probably already noticed it: something’s different, something new has sneaked its way onto our website – something that doesn’t look like photography at all…
Together with a handful of selected international graphic designers and illustrators, we have put together a selection of drawings, designs and collages for the first time ever on our website!
Now you might be asking yourself: How come? The idea behind all this is actually quite simple. The concept – to support social projects around the world through the love of art – can be very easily applied to this beautiful craft as well. And since over the months, every Photocircler had discovered at least one illustrator or designer that they really liked, we thought: Let’s give it a shot! And so we’re thrilled to introduce to you…
Catalina Villegas
“I see illustration as a way of coloring the world and adding more beauty and good to the constant bombardment of negativity that overflows from it. My main inspiration is the fauna and flora in Colombia, where I live now. They are lush, colorful, peaceful, radiant, complex, and so powerful. I want to transmit positivity, light, and love through my images. If our minds are set to solidify these thoughts and they result in tangible expressions and bursts of eye candy, then I think we as artists have an immense responsibility to share and transmit those vibrations to others.” Catalina was born in Medellin, Colombia and raised in Miami, Florida (USA). She is a graduate of the Liberal Arts Department at Florida International University (Miami). She has been living Colombia for the past 10 years with her husband and chihuahua and currently works as a freelance illustrator.

Laura is a German illustrator who works for clients like Bloomberg Business Week, Cicero, Mosaic Science, Psychologie heute, Emotion, Missy Magazin, Oak Magazine, Double Dot Magazine, Literaturen Special and The Vinyl Factory. She Loves to draw plants and women:

Amalia Caratozzolo
Amalia is a freelance illustrator and was born in Messina, Sicilly in 1983. She works and lives in Rome. She studied at the International School of Comics and in the illustration department of Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) in Rome. Amalia is a teacher of the art of engraving and since 2013, she has worked in collaboration with the Corriere della Sera.

Shinpei Naito
Shinpei Naito was born in Tokyo, Japan, in 1977. At the tender age of fifteen, Shinpei discovered his passion for art while studying at a prestigious private art school in Japan. His talent soon blossomed and Shinpei found his love and niche as a “futuristic” artist. Often recognised in the international art world, today Shinpei continues his passion for learning about and exploring the endless world of creating art. He hopes his past experience and ongoing education will be vital links to his future as a concept designer for various kinds of graphic production.

Ines Kouidis
The fascination with movie, rock and pop stars, of fashion icons, people and their stories are the subject of my new collages. Old newspapers, glossy magazines, posters and paper of any kind are my colors, my source. A new show is created, a new look. I send the viewer on a journey through characters, careers, fortunes, dreams. My work gives me great pleasure – a feeling that I want to get across to the viewer. Each portrait is a journey of discovery. The paper is like a witness.” Ines Kouidis lives and works as a freelance artist in Berlin.
