With your help, we were able to provide six children in Burkina Faso with the opportunity to attend kindergarten!
The kindergarten of Wend Raabo School Complex in the suburbs of Burkina Faso’s capital Ouagadougou opened its doors in 2010 – today, 57 girls and boys from age three to six are benefitting from the institution. It’s the first kindergarten for poor families and hence affordable compared to other kindergartens around. There, the children are looked after, get the opportunity to study, play, sing, dance and have a warm meal, a drink and some fruit for lunch every day. A solid groundwork for health and education.
It’s the goal of our partner organization Wunschträume/Netzwerk für Mädchen- & Frauenprojekte e.V. to double the number of attending children and thus help to develop a paradigm in which this kind of pre-school education becomes the norm in one of the poorest countries in the world. With 324 Euro, we were now able to contribute to this goal and send six further boys and girls to kindergarten!
